Service Disclaimer

The limits of LaunchPad's role in CAC and NRS filings, third-party platforms and professional outcomes, and why our services are not legal or tax advice.

LaunchPad helps individuals and businesses build a professional presence and get set up properly. This disclaimer explains what we do and do not do, so that you can make informed decisions. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

1. We are not a law firm or accountancy practice

LaunchPad is a business unit of MayR Labs Technologies (RC9662886). We are not a law firm, accountancy practice, tax consultancy or financial adviser, and our services are not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice.

  • Business registration and compliance. We prepare and manage CAC registrations, annual returns, amendments, TIN, SCUML and related filings on your behalf. Where the law requires a filing to be made by an accredited agent, we work with CAC-accredited agents.
  • Regulatory guidance. Guidance we give about business structures, filings or obligations is practical and general. It is based on our experience with the process and is not a substitute for advice on your specific legal or tax position.
  • When to seek professional advice. For matters such as shareholder agreements, disputes, tax planning, audits, licensing in regulated sectors, immigration or investment decisions, we recommend that you consult a qualified lawyer, chartered accountant or other accredited professional. We are happy to point you in the right direction.

2. Outcomes are not guaranteed

We work hard to give you the best possible chance of success, but many results depend on decisions made by others. We do not guarantee:

  • job interviews or offers resulting from a CV, cover letter or LinkedIn profile;
  • admissions, scholarships, grants or visas resulting from application support;
  • approval of a proposed business or company name by CAC;
  • approval of verification or onboarding by Paystack, Monnify, Google, Meta or any other platform;
  • search engine rankings, Google Business Profile visibility, traffic, leads, followers or sales;
  • investment or funding resulting from a business plan or pitch deck.

Where your content includes statements about your experience, qualifications or business, you are responsible for making sure they are true.

3. Regulator timelines are outside our control

Regulators including the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) and the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML) set their own processing times, requirements and fees, and these can change without notice. System outages, queries and backlogs also occur.

As a guide, a business name registration typically takes a few working days after we receive complete documents; a limited company usually takes longer; an incorporated trustee takes longer still because of required newspaper publication. These are estimates, not promises. Registration and compliance services are available only for Nigerian filings.

4. Third-party platforms can change

Many services involve platforms we do not control, such as Google Workspace, Google Business Profile, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Paystack, Monnify and domain registrars. These platforms can change their features, prices, eligibility rules and policies, or suspend or restrict accounts, at their own discretion. We set things up in line with each platform's requirements at the time, but we are not responsible for later changes or decisions they make.

5. Website content is general information

Information on this website, including service descriptions, guides, timelines and price estimates, is general information provided in good faith. It may not reflect the most recent regulatory changes and does not take account of your circumstances. Prices online are estimates until confirmed in a written quote, as explained in our Terms of Use.

The website may link to third-party websites, including government portals. We provide these links for convenience and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.
